TalentEd program participant (2011), Sam Lambert just completed Round 2 in the Australian Superbike Series on home turf at Hidden Valley race way in Darwin, with his first podium finish; “This round really tested my determination and abilities on the bike. The fact I was able to get back from 4 crashes and finish on the podium did heaps for my confidence and I hope I made all my local fans proud,” Sam said.

Support of the National Wheelchair Basketball game to be played here in Darwin on 28th and 29th April – Sydney v Wollongong. Just $5 for adults and children are free. Games are on Saturday 28th April 7pm and Sunday 29th April 12 noon, at Marrara Indoor Stadium, with tickets on sale at the door.
Local athlete CJ Grogan will be competing. CJ (18) teamed with Tom O’Neil Thorne (14) recently in representing Australia at the U23’s tournament over in Dubai. Both CJ and Tom were in the team’s best players and top scorers for most games. Australia won the tournament.
Come along and support local athletes competing at the National Level. Expose yourself to something different and enjoy a quality game. Local Olympic athlete Melanie Hall will be present and willing to mix and mingle with the crowd.

Squash NT is now seeking Expressions of Interest from suitable candidates to manage the new Darwin Squash Centre – located in Marrara, Northern Territory. Construction is currently underway for the Centre and is due for completion in July 2012.
Squash NT is looking for a candidate who is highly skilled in future planning whilst also having a strong affiliation with the day to day activities of managing a sports and recreation facility. This is the ideal role for a professional candidate with a high level of initiative, creativity and determination to deliver a service for the community in a timely manner for financial gain.
Starwin Management is committed to developing champions in sport, life and the community – and is the sponsor for the ’Tapalinga’ Rising Star award for the best 21 and under player for Tiwi Bombers in the NTFL. Season 2011/12 saw Tiwi Bombers win their inaugural premiership and on the 20 April 2012, the team came together for the presentation night and premiership celebration.
Starwin Management attended the night and presented the Tapalinga Award to Albert Tipungwuti, #10 for the red and black team, the recipient of a medallion and a $300 voucher for The Cricket & Football Shop.
Just five days since Starwin Management put him on the plane to head to Terang, Starwin Talent, Jason ‘Pura’ Puruntatameri is already making his mark! Talking to the local paper, The Standard, the former St Johns College student and Saint Marys player in the NTFL has his sights firmly set on creating a pathway to the AFL.
