STARW-INSIGHT August 2011
Welcome to this month's insight into Starwin Management! We believe all individuals and organisations have the strength, talent and passion to make their mark on the Territory. 'Winning is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.' Our business model enables us to support our clients to win in sport, life and community.
Training and learning opportunities for communities are critical to building capacity of staff and growth of successful sport and community programs. To this end Starwin Consultancy is proud to be working with Batchelor Institute for Indigenous Tertiary Education to develop tools for the upcoming delivery of sport and recreation training packages across the NT.
In Darwin, the Street Soccer program has kicked off, beginning a new era in using 'the power of sport to change lives', new participants for this free program are welcome, and we are available to visit agencies looking for social and sporting programs for clients.
As a social enterprise, we contribute 10% of our income to invest in grass roots sport to support rising stars and are proud sponsors of the Nightcliff Tigers women's AFL team. The team will commence their 2011/12 pre-season campaign under new coach, Mark Pastie on 16 August. Show your support for the team at: www.facebook.com/tigersfc.
For Starwin Talent, we have been providing sponsorship, promotion and employment assistance for our 2011 TalentEd camp participants. You can view profiles of these TalentEd athletes, guest speakers at our new look website; www.starwin.com.au or drop in to our office at 1/422 Stuart Highway, Winnellie to find out more.
Keep aiming for the stars!

Wildgeese, leading remote builders, are currently working in Port Keats building the AHL Boarding Facility for the Australian Government.
As champions in community, we recently saw Wildgeese partner with Melbourne Demons FC to give two young students from Thamarrurr Catholic School an experience of a lifetime; kitting them out with full MFC uniforms, meeting players and running through the banner with the team.
A great example of social enterprise making a mark on the Territory!
