Designed by Australian Aboriginal artist De Greer Yindimincarlie, of the Wiradjuri Nation in central New South Wales, and depicts tribal journeys between campsites. Symbols include men, women, campsites and travel routes, with different communities separate but interconnected.
The Journeys mat is made from recycled polypropylene plastic from plastic bags, plastic drink bottles, and medicine bottles. These mats ensure you are celebrating the planet as well as multiculturalism. The Journeys mat is light enough to carry or fold-up for transport or storage, so you can move it from your art space or reading corner to a shady spot outside at lunchtime. It's soft and comfortable, but equally sturdy.
