These cups have been produced by Babbarra Women's Centre in collaboration with Maningrida Arts and Culture and the Cultural Research Office

 

- Ndjebbana is the language of the traditional owners of Maningrida. “Rdordbalk’ is a very common word that means “good”, “are you good?”or “this is good!”

- Kuninjku is an Australian Aboriginal language spoken in West of Arnhem Land. It is also one of the main languages spoken in Maningrida. “Kamak” is a very common word that means “good”, “are you good?”or “this is good!”

- Burarra is an Australian Aboriginal language spoken by the Burarra people of Arnhem Land. There are only approx. 950 speakers. “Gunmola” is a very common word that means “good”, “are you good?”or “this is good!”
