In June 2020, Sweet Water Art joined Starwin as a maker and creator. We asked Kiewa Austin-Rioli to share her story for creating change with us. Sweet Water Art is designed and made in Melbourne, Victoria.
How would you describe ways that you give back / pay it forward in our community?
In the future we look to collaborating with Aboriginal organisations and small business and do products that will give a certain amount of profit into that organisation.
What is your one-of-a-kindness story?
We are a 100% Aboriginal owned business and I, Kiewa Austin-Rioli, am a 19 year old Gunditjmara and Tiwi Islander girl who just has a passion for art! I am starting off my small business that has only been running since 25/06/20 and currently just operating out of my Nan's spare bedroom but I have such a big vision ahead to expand!
Can you share with us a story of how you care for country?
We use 100% recycled paper for the cards and bookmarks that we produce.
