Woven Basket made with kindness, by the hands of Elaine Tiparui, from the Wangatunga Women's group.
This Tiwi strong women's group is based at Wurrumiyanga, Bathurst Island (Tiwi Islands) and they weave together as a therapeutic practice to promote better health and wellbeing and keep their spirit strong.
Each woven product is a one-of-a-kindness creation & feature traditionally dyed pandanus, woven with raffia.
