Community Change
To achieve our mission to grow a Made with Kindness Economy, our Starwin Collective takes great pride in sponsoring and supporting community initiatives. Our Makers & Kreators, in some way, all pay it forward. In addition to this, we have five ways we invest in creating community change as part of our one-of-a-kindness enterprise model.
There are five strategies are:
1) Career Pathways: our Career Pathways initiatives, are created with community leaders to support women and young people. Find out more here.
2) Events: we host free events at our shopfronts, to create community connections. Events like: Crafternoons I Storytime I Mumpreneurs Morning Teas I Jolly Good Therapy and more. Find out more here.
3) Gifting: 1 Step 2 Star saw us donate over 100 pairs of shoes and boots to aspiring young athletes. With Higher Attire for Young Stars we have gifted over 200 dresses to girls and women celebrating their success. Find out more here.
4) Real Art Movement: we collaborate and invest with our collective of Makers & Kreators. Find out more here.
5) Sponsorship: we provide cash and gift donations and/or in-kind support for community led events. This can include; sponsorship of prizes, hosting a stall, guest speakers, corporate gifts, delegate discounts.
Our shopfronts are also created as safe places & cultural spaces to provide a base for like minded community groups & enterprises. In the past we have had organisation like Good Sports NT, Hoops for Health & Chidanpee Cultural Enterprises co-located in our Darwin Share Space.
In 2021, we upped our community investment and supported the launch of The Cove, a wellbeing and workshop space by Mayala Bol.
Do you have an upcoming event or initiative you need support with? We invite you to get in touch.
